Capital Clinic Physiotherapy was excited to welcome Declan to the team in 2017. Graduating with Distinction in the Master of Physiotherapy from the University of Canberra, Declan enjoys treating a wide variety of clientele from the young to elderly with the aim of restoring function and quality of life using an evidence based and caring, holistic approach. Declan also particularly enjoys working with the paediatric population after gaining experience at the Royal Sydney Children’s Hospital and has an interest in treating musculoskeletal conditions in kids.

Declan has a special interest in sports injuries and their rehabilitation, and in particular, injuries affecting the lower limb having recently completed a course on the non-surgical management of ACL ruptures. He also has recently completed a shoulder assessment course, taught by shoulder physiotherapy specialist Lyn Watson.

As a high performance athlete who has been selected to play at the state level for ACT Basketball and Australian Rules football, Declan understands the importance of Physiotherapy in returning to sport post injury. Declan currently works with the Ainslie Football Club and has helped many highly competitive young adults and men return to a high level of competition. He enjoys helping athletes of all levels return to their chosen sport whilst minimising the risk of re-injury.
