Prior to completing her Physiotherapy Degree and gaining a First Class Honours in the UK, in 2007, Leone served many years in the UK Defence Force. Leone has gained musculoskeletal physiotherapy experience in public and private sectors, in the UK and Australia.
Leone has a strong desire to provide her patients with the most up to date and evidence based physiotherapeutic interventions to achieve a holistic and multidisciplinary approach, to their care.
After gaining specialised musculoskeletal qualifications in Western Medicalised Acupuncture, dry needling, Pilates and a Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Medicine, Leone attained the title APA Pain Physiotherapist through experience and completing a Master of Science in Medicine (Pain Management).
Leone’s passion to help patients, colleagues and physiotherapy undergraduates alike to gain insight and understanding into pain presentations has led her to investigate pursuing a PhD with the University of Queensland.
Leone is able to treat all musculoskeletal presentations, her area of interest is in chronic neck pain, migraines and low back pain.
Outside of work Leone enjoys Pilates and volunteer work with early learning years children. In her spare time Leone walks her dogs and is trying to win over a very stubborn pet cockatoo!
